Some watch for the football, some for the tradition, some for the commercials and some just for the performance half way through- but for one reason or another, more than 108 million Americans tuned in to watch the SB XLVII. Here at XOS, we love to see America come together through a football game and support two teams who worked through blood, sweat and tears to make it to the very top.

The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) is always one of the most exciting weeks for XOS Digital with over 6,000 coaches roaming the show floor at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville. During the show dates (Jan. 6-9), XOS was able to demonstrate the latest capabilities of XOS Thunder, XOS PlayerOnDemand and the XOS Thunder Remote Camera System. XOS also officially launched its latest product line, XOS ThunderCloud. This cloud-based digital media management platform provides advanced sports technology services anywhere, any time.

Where to catch the show:

The NFL Draft has drawn hours of media speculation, pages upon pages of mock drafts, and for the past three years, it has garnered television primetime status. Most fans watch from home, hoping for the picks that turn their teams around or keep them successful. However, a lucky few (including myself) get to attend the Draft and experience all of its collective pageantry.

Like many XOS Digital employees, I previously worked in professional sports as a video assistant for the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins.

Working in the football business means dealing with big people, and sometimes even bigger personalities. Junior Seau was certainly a large and physically gifted athlete, but his persona was that of a gentle giant. On the field he was relentless, passionate and the definition of “high motor.” Off the field, he had a highly contagious smile that came across as nothing short of genuine. 

A majority of people believe the Saturdays between September and December are the most important for their favorite college football teams.

In actuality, all the minutes, hours and days spent recruiting make the difference when stringing bowl wins together. A day after National Signing Day, the XOS team would like to reflect on the status of the recruiting and scouting industry, and what impact XOS has had on it in a relatively short period of time.
